Hi Cor,
Judy is doing fairly well and witty as ever though I would be dishonest if I said her memory was as sharp as it used to be. However she very much thinks about alt so her daughter says and is surrounded by good people who care for her. In fact, it was the kindness of her daughter and a woman named Ig Mata that went to all the work to get the images scanned and sent to me in time for publication in my book.
Her daughter was wondering if there was an alt group that met at her house, whether they would be meeting again anywhere for old times sake. My opinion was that it could have been a group associated with her teaching at Pratt, tho I have visited there and so have others from this list that I know of. I just have never known of a group occurrence there. But I was newer to the list (1999) and missed a lot of the "good ol' days" from 1994-1999 when the list was fresh and maybe that kind of stuff was happening. Aside from a lot of the arguments which I am glad I missed.
Speaking of alt groups, I know there is one in the Dallas TX area, and in Santa Fe with Bostick-Sullivan. Any others that meet regularly? It'd be nice to sort of "catalog" that type of organized activity, wouldn't it? Come to think of it, I could check alternativephotography.com and see if Malin's calendar contains that info...
