Oh wow-- thanks for that information, Clay. I had no idea. That's amazing. Over at least the last decade or so, I think they've had some issues with turnover and direction (always a new director it seemed)-- but wow-- I'm really stunned by that. "Suspending operations" it says. The Light Factory has been there forever--
And, this for Bob-- I hadn't been to Hodges-Taylor in a while, but when I looked them up just now-- it seems that they *may* not have a physical gallery space anymore-- looks like it's now an "art consultancy." I can't tell if they have 4 walls anymore or not. So . . in answer to your question-- No, there is no place in Charlotte for photography. ;)
