Got some more scoop on the *Daylight* tubes. These tubes were apparently once
made by several manufacturers, but most recently in the United States only
by GE, as best I understand. However, production on the GE F40 T12D tubes
was ended in October of 1995 because of federal energy efficiency
requirements, and are being replaced with the GE F40 T12 SP65, with
similar, though not identical, spectral specificiations. My sources
indicate that production has not *yet* ended on the GE F20 T12D tubes
(BTW, F40 means 4' tube, F20means 2' tube).
