<The Swiss film Typon ... comes in a variable contrast version which
demonstrates that it does not have the flexibility of the Kodak product.>
Why should a variable contrast film not have the flexibility of your favourite
product? Any technical reason? I have never worked faster, saver and with better
reproducability when preparing negs for gum, platinum or carbon than with the
contrast variable AGFA GO210p.
<The difficulty with the other Agfa products is that when friends and colleagues
show me their results, I am glad I stuck with Kodak.>
Are you referring to your friend's prints? If so, your disappointment may not
necessarily have been caused by the film. ;-) And what do you mean by <subtlety
of gradation>? What technical differences, regarding characteristic curves, did
you find?
