I went to London one year ago to see the Puyo and Demachy because someone told
me that the Victoria and Albert was the high temple. Rien ou presque.
>There is a germ of a get- together in May. It may be worthwhile for a group
to
>make a pilgrimage to Chalon and to see the Puyo and Demachy material in
Paris.
Ah!, Paris au mois de mai.
I stayed a week in "Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts" with white cotton gloves,
among Atget, Marville,... O the smell of old carbon(s) and silver(s).
Some interesting temples:

The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam has just opened an exhibition:
---------------extract
Starting February 9th part of the collection will be shown in the exhibition
department of the printroom. (...)
19th century photography now occupies a prominent place in the printroom.
Original work by well known 19th century photographers as WILLIAM HENRY FOX
TALBOT, ROGER FENTON, JULIA MARGARET CAMERON, MAXIME DU CAMP and the Dutchmen
EDUARD ISAAC ASSER, NICOLAAS HENNEMAN, WILLEM WITSEN and GEORGE HENDRIK
BREITNER is now preserved alongside the work of master draughtsmen and
engravers.
Unexpected finds in the museum's own collection include a unique panoramaphoto
of Baalbek by GUSTAVE LE GRAY.
The donation of the Asser albums, the incunabula of Dutch photography,
represents another spectacular addition.

Philippe,
P.S. Il n'eut point fallut que vous l'employassiez, (he,he!). Le "e" de fin
de mot est presque toujours muet, mais que j'aime Barbara Hendrick quand elle
chante Gabriel Faure(acute).
