Mike,
I'm curious... just how would one render crocoite (PbCr04)
soluble? I've never heard of the stuff.

I read that Potassium Chromate occurs as a mineral in-or-about
Argentina. Chromium VI to the rescue. Now all we need is an early
rock-hound travelling with Magellan to create Photography in Renaissance
Europe.

Count your implausibilities.
