What I hate are:

Lots of pretty little drawings or photos of straight-forward bits of
equipment that we all know what it looks like

Instructions that manage to leave out vital details like amounts, times etc.

Books that give you a hundred ways of making (for example blue toner) all of
which are very similar and with no suggestion as to which might be
preferable.

Those who only list suppliers in the USA in their UK editions.

Books that copy stuff from other books without either checking or
attributing it.

Well, that's a start.
