Hi all,
Having just been bitten, I would like to suggest to those that
semi-regularly change email addresses, that you please unsubscribe from
the old address and subscribe from the new address.
.forward and /etc/aliases are great ideas, I know, and they
frequently serve to function for those people that don't know your new
email address. But this list is quite capable of learning your new email
address, and you should make use of this mechanism.
I just had to track down a user entry that had three levels of
redirection, and it does get to be a nuisance. In all likelihood, he may
well have a new email address which is described in a .forward at the
end of the chain I was seeing. But because he didn't change the
subscription address, I had to nuke his entry.
It's not a good idea to rely on .forward and /etc/aliases
anyway, as sites frequently clean out stale accounts or change their
domain names, and you will have that link lost in the process.

cheers
