To those considering Kallitypes

This is just my humble opinion. . .but to those considering/starting Kallitype printing, think about doing pure
Palladium instead. It's not much more expensive per print (really!), when you include how much more
difficult Kallitype printing is that palladium. I recently converted from Kallitype printing, which I did for
several years, to Palladium with B&S chemestry. Since I had the supplies/facilities to do Kallitype printing, it
only cost me $ for the Palladium (what is that, $30/25 ml?) and $13.00 for the ferric oxilate.

I'm hardly a seasoned Kallitype printer. . .or for that matter, a Pd printer. . .but my expereince with Kallitypes
are that they are extremely tempermental, require much more processing time and attention to detail in the
lab, and can up and die (fade) for no apparent reason. I used to be a big proponent of Kallitypes, but now,
with some Pd experience, I don't even consider going back, though I do miss the wonderful and
irreplaceable ranges of colors possible only with the Kallitype. I'm so done with that process that I'm giving
away nearly a pound of silver nitrate.
