In the literature you can find some formulas to use *gaslight* paper for
bromoil, but that silver chloride paper once was made for development and was
different from the CENTENNIAL DW. The latter is a printing-out paper with an
excess of silver nitrate. I assume that it is not supercoated, to allow for an
easy washing out of the silver nitrate before toning, but the emulsion may be
hardened. Anyway you would probably have to figure out a special bleaching bath
for this paper.
Today I made some first tests with the first samples of a new bromoil paper
which shall be produced to my requirements. It looked promising, but it is a bit
too early to announce it yet. I hope to have it available during late summer or
so. If this paper turns out to be o.k., I will let the company coat an oil paper
again, but as the market for oil paper is much smaller I have to do the (more
difficult) bromoil job first.
I'll keep you informed.
