1. decreasing the disk space required to send any one message (making
the sysadmins happy)
2. increasing the time to process any one message
This means that the turnaround time from a message getting to this site
to being distributed again is slightly longer than it used to be (looks
like it might take anything up to an hour, but less than half that
should be normal).
So, if you post a message and don't see it immediately, this is why.
On another note, there is a chance some messages went missing in the
changeover. This is unlikely, but if you suspect it is the case, email
me and see if I saw it. Simply reposting will probably result in it
getting bounced, or upsetting those on the list.
