As requested, I am posting the following formula which is supposed to
produce a very close imitation of a platinium print. I have not tried
it myself, so I would appreciate any input from anyone who does.

Imitation Platinium Prints

Solution: A

Ferric Oxalate 36.3 gm.
Oxalic Acid 4.86 gm.
Hot water 103.5 cc

Solution B

Permanganate of Potash 1.94 gm
Water 29.5 cc.

Add solution A to Solution B

Solution: C

Silver Nitrate 16.2 gm.
Water 103.5 cc.

For sensitizing, mix seven parts of the mixture of solutions A and B
withthree parts of solution C.

Develop and wash like platinum paper but fix in a plain hypo bath then
wash well.

Plain hypo bath

Sodium Thiosulfate 30.6 gm
Water 887.6 cc.

Further comment by Schramm: I assume one would use distilled water. I did
translate the original units ("grains" and "ounces") into grams and
cubic centimeters. I'm not sure about Permanganate of Potash. Perhaps
that whould be potassium permanganate. Is there a chemist out there who
can help?

This looks to me like a version of Kallitype. Any comments?
