Since some of you mentioned exhibits of "luscious" prints in NYC, here inf
San Francisco (yesterday) a show opend of Kenro Izu who lives in NYC of
his flowers (calla lilies) and stone monuments (Easter Island, Angkor Wat,
Isle of Sky etc.) which are 14 x20 Platinum prints ... absolutely
beutifully done. not really my cup of tea because the work is quite
generally related to classic imagery but nonetheless very attractive.I
spoke with him (terrific guy) and he had a unique camera built by Deardorf
in relation to 35mm format, hence the 14,x20 unusual size. He works
w/Plus-X by Kodak and creates the normal overexposed fully dense image
that is contacted onto Platinum prepared paper. Didn't get the papr he
used, but, if you can, investigate his work.
