Hi Fabricators

Both cyanotype and the brown print version of kallitype work very well on
fabric.

Cotton is probably best. I use unbleached callico which I wash in pure soap
first, eg Stergene or Lux Flakes. One should not use detergents with optical
brighteners.

The boring bit is pressing it afterwards. I remember having to do a ten foot
banner. The cleaners made a complete mess of pressing it on their big machine
and I had to slave over a hot iron for a long time to get the wrinkles out.

Also remember that fixer discolours the fabric so you have to do the whole thing
at once so that all the fabric is equally discoloured.

Did anybody get any information on Inkodye or have any experience of using batik
dyes that are light sensitive when wet.
