And one more suggestion in addition to those already supplied: Be nice
to your old granny, because odds are she has some well-washed ancient 100%
cotton sheets in a closet somewhere.

The most lusciously rich cyanotypes on fabric I've ever seen were printed
on nearly worn-out sheets from my mother. Today's sheets, even if
labelled "100% cotton" have had a resin coating applied (to make them
Permanent Press) and often take emulsions badly, if at all. There are
places that sell non-sized "pure" cotton, some of which works better than
others (you have to test), but none of it a patch on the rich *velvety*
look of the old sheets.
