While I don't generally like the idea of dry mounting for the reasons you
have stated, I find it annoying to look at glossy silver prints in frames
that have rippled slightly, the reflections making them difficult to
view. Because of this annoyance, I drymount my silver and conventional
color prints routinely when they reach 16X20, as this size and larger is
certain not to remain flat when matted and framed.
