For what it is worth, I echo the sentiments of BTZS plus use of
the Phil Davis programmed hand computer. When I use that machine,
available from Darkroom Innovations, for my pt/pd or Palladio negs, they
invariably come out within 1/2 stop of my desired density range. The
only reason there is even that small variation is because I am lazy and
use a JOBO with the expert drums for developing and I hate to develop
just one at a time. Thus, I segregate the negs in groups (about 4
different subject brightness range groups), gather all the films within
a given group and develop those to the appropriate time/density range.
Could not recommend Phil's system more heartily, especially with the
handheld PC-6 or whatever small computer has been programmed. Cheers.
