First, I'm wondering if everyone has been getting multiple copies of every
message from the list in the last two days (that could be Jeff's =20, as,
every message equals 20, ha ha). Personal direct e-mail is coming in OK,
but there was nothing from alt-photo today except repeats. As it happens,
Panix had some mega crashes in the same period, its RAIDs, whatever they
are, belly up, and absolute multidimensional mayhem, so perhaps
Panix is the multiplier. Whatever, thought I should mention.

At the same time, although I appreciate Steve's ASCII talk in an esthetic
way (without, so to speak, deconstructing it), I recall an episode in
which I got =20 signs at every line and I'm not even from Scandinavia. I'd
written a letter offline & uploaded without saving as text only. When I
saved as text only, the code went away.

And since Jeff in past has posted without that code, the phenomenon is
not necessarily uncontrollable. What did you change, Jeff?

Meanwhile, there's a joke in here somewhere (about all men being created
=20?).

Cheers,

Judy
