First, I would like to promise to get a spell checker, although I do know how
to spell trees.

Second, while Judy may be extravagant in all things, it is especially true of
her praise.

Third, I want to emphasize that I do not do anything weird at all but I have
just applied the basic gum techniques and do more coats than most and less
than some. If fact I have learned more in the last six months from those on
this list than the last ten years.

Fourth, even in tri-color gums I was always striving to achieve something
different. Most of my tricolor work is a departure from the feeling of the
original transparency. It is the ability to selectively manipulate and
enhance not only individual colors but tones within those colors that drew me
to gum printing. In fact, once, I made a print that looked almost perfectly
like the transparency and was just about indistinguishable at a distance from
a Type C print. I immediately tore it up and promised myself never to do it
again.
