George,

A one time we had a very lengthy discussion of light sources. It
should all be in the archives. I do not believe the question of what
was best was ever settled. It appears that a variety of FL bulbs are
being used.
I am using a bank of Sylvania 350 Blacklight bulbs (F16T6/350BL).
I have been doing cyanotype, platinium, paladium, gum and chrysotype
with this light unit. Print sizes up to 11x14. One of my students
used this unit 2 years ago to make some albumin prints.
I am in the process of testing a large Hg vapor street light.
