I'm teaching an alternative photography class this fall and am looking
for a safe sizing method (that works!) for gum printing. I personally
use a gelatin sizing with a 37% formalin solution as a hardener, but I
cannot subject my students to the dangerous fumes. Spray starch does
not work. Does anyone use an alternative sizing method that will
allow multiple coatings without staining? Sorry if this topic has
been discussed already; I've searched through a good deal of the
archives and found no information on this subject.

Thanks,

Shauna
