As the originator of the very successful Terry King workshop in Traditional
photogravure held at Kingsway college KTC. I must put in my "two-penn'orth"
before it is put to bed so to speak, from the recent Terry and Peter
skirmishes it would seem that there was a lot of disagreement going on,
this was far from the truth.

It was a very happy few days, most of the students in fact came from my two year
one day a week course in Creative imaging through lens based media. The feed
back that I have received has been positive.

Most of the students made a print from a gravure plate all the students
made a plate, some of the images were not perfect, but each was an exciting
experience
for the person concerned, Peter Marshall produced a very sensitive image
beautifully realised in the photogravure medium

In general I am in full agreement with Peters concerns in regard to safety
rules but I do feel he is nit-picking in respect of this workshop , Terry
pointed out all the safety pitfalls at each stage, and was constantly on
guard for the care and safety of my students as I was myself , with Peter
also making a valuable contribution.

Also Terry was working under far from ideal conditions three-quarters of
the photographic darkrooms were torn out on the first day of the course,
not an auspicious start, this would have shaken a lessor man but not our
Terry with a laugh and a few muttered curses he sailed through the week
without a care in the world.

I am looking forward to doing the whole thing again next year.

Now for a short plug which I hope Steve wont mind, if anybody would like
further details of the course in Creative imaging 96/97 that I run at
Kingsway please contact me off list
