Dear "Doc" (hardwood) Spiri-tus animus:
As you know, I've always fiddled w/my photographs. Never have
been a "purist" w/transendent beauty to my silver particles ... so,
when @ the metal re-cycling place w/my sculptor pal, I bought this
large roll of quite thick foil. Had taken photo of our patio furniture
(disease that hits men at age of 50 ... running out purchasing patio
furniture that is) and it reminded me of that Man Ray/Duchamp
photo of dust on Duchamp's studio floor covering one of his pieces
and also the 'chocolate'grinder. Hmmm. I'll make a print. Did. Sent a
batch out to the various auctions. Wasn't as great a hit as I thought.
Then I got into the computer so as to clean things up and thought,
well, will clean the unecessary portions up. And then what? Well,
blow it up....uhhh, an Iris print. Yes? Maybe a Cactus print...better.
Then, the copper caught my eye and, well, I'll have it cut out w/a
laser. yes, will patinate it. Will try various colors from black to blue.
Now, what w/the Alt. Phot. List, am interested in trying to place an
image on it.
I am very slow at all this....hope I get is done.
Best
Jack
