Four pins, magic tape, heavy estar film ( or fix thin film to heavy duty
acetate), 140 lb paper and you will not need a substrate to remove your gum
print from !

Most gum printers I know were not even aware of the concept of a substrate. They
had seen Irving Penn's platinums but thought that the metal backing was a sales
gimmick.
