In a message dated 96-08-15 03:29:05 EDT, you write:

<< Hmmm ... I've made sugar syrup solutions for sweetening liqueurs since
plain
granulated sugar doesn't dissolve well in alcohol solutions. Is this what
you
are doing here? I don't recall that I had a problem dissolving granulated
sugar
in the hot gelatin solution, but this would be an interesting way to ensure
that
the sugar is completely dissolved. What are you actually doing?

I am following some formula for preparing pigment tissue for carbon printing.
The formula calls for syrup and some other wetting agents. Since I am
skipping the wetting agents now, I only use the syrup. I have thought about
adding the sugar directly to the gelatine too. I think I will try that.

But that was just my first attempt in making pigment tissue. As Luis has
pointed out, I still have to spend thousands of hours and probably thousands
of tests on tissue before I find a good way that works for me. :)
