Liquid Light

I am an artist who wants to place a photo image within an etching. I coated some
Rives
paper with the Liquid Light but after it dries the paper is crinkly, not flat.
Has anyone
had experience with using this stuff? The meager instructions tell you to air
dry it.
I could use other papers than the Rives but prefer it. Arches is also a paper I
could use.
These papers are meant to be soaked and dried either pressed between blotters or
by pinning them or taping them to a flat surface.

A second question about the emulsion: If I want to brush it on can you suggest
what to use?

Thanks.
