Richard, I have encountered similar problems with albumen printing. This
condition is referred to as the measles. The prints are generally of good
density overall but splotchy with light density areas. Ususally the
problem is a result of too weak silver bath or too short a time floating
the albumenized paper on the silver bath. Although you are using a brush
to sensitize, a weak silver bath might be your problem.
