I belong to the photart list, though I have seen little traffic on in recently.
About three months ago there was a good thread which I think well exemplifies
the spirit of the group (though the group is hardly limited to this kind of
subject): the discussion centered around what people thought about the
epistimological and practical ramifications of the rise of digital imaging--i.e.
how it changes the things photographers can say, how people respond to it, how
'legitimate' it is, etc.
Most of the postings are quite well though out and, I think, reflect the measure
of thought of it's members.
I think that in general members of this list might find photoart content a nice
counterpoint to the more technical aspects found here.
