Angela,

I find all these comments about old members of the list putting down
newbees a little disturbing. I have been on this list a fairly long time
and have always attempted to answer questions, no matter how elementary,
of folks posting for a first time. I have observed other long-time list
members doing the same and most recently. True an occasional comment is
made to check the archives, but thats not a put down. You write,
" I,m content to return to my place and lurk." and yet you complain that
you do not care for the detailed topics which are being discussed by the
"nonlurkers." If you have a topic you would like to discuss, it is up to
you to come out of "your place" and stop lurking. Start a discussion.
Considering the fact that there are over 500 members of this list, we must
have a lot of lurkers. In ham radio we call that "reading the mail." If
that is what you want to do, fine, but don't expect we nonlurkers to
read your mind about what topics you want to talk about.
There are some members of this list who are not afraid to speak their
mind. Sometimes they disagree with me. I welcome their comments. That's
how I learn.
Everyone was a newbee once. Stop lurking and make a contribution. It
will be welcomed.

Best wishes, really!
