Thank you for your commemts. The material in question is tech grade 85%,
obtained from Aldrich, it is a brownish grey powder, which imparts a
rich brown colouration to the delveloper.

That is why I'm using it, however I do wonder whether the warmtones that
I get, owe as much to the colour of the developer, as to the action of
the Chlorohydroquinone.

Or the technical grade perhaps?
