You can store the exposed film in a refrigerator, not a freezer, and take it
out to manipulate it later. The effect may not be the same, and I would not
wait more than two days in any event. Be sure to warm the film before
manipulating it. I do not know what the white goo is that you are referring
to, unless you somehow are puncturing the clear plastic that covers the dyes
and substrate.
