PLEASE READ: List etiquette

Hi folks,
Sorry that I didn't incorporate this in the last message, but I didn't
think things went this far wrong, and I confess to not having waded
through all of the 400-odd messages I had waiting for me this morning.
I'm afraid that profanity is inappropriate for this list. Not only is
it unwarranted and unwanted, it actually breaks the rules of a lot of
service providers, and can get subscribers, posters, and me into
trouble.
A particular member of the list felt it necessary to revert to such
behaviour recently, and on more than one occassion. The graphic nature
of these messages suggests that the poster intended to offend. More fool
him.
Please realise that use of this list is not a "right". Similarly,
neither is the use of the internet. I run this list, and despite the
fact I don't act like a despot, people only stay on this list because
I'm a nice guy and let them.
Because this individual got my back up with their choice to abuse
others on the list, and subject all members to such vile behaviour, they
are no longer able to post to the list. Please be assured that anyone
else that acts in a similar manner will meet a similar end.
disappointedly,
-steve
