Thanks to the MANY who have responded to my offer of a free sample of Direct
Carbon Gelatine print process in a straightforward and civilized way. I am
now endeavouring to to meet my offer when I have managed to rescue my
integrity on this list.
As a newcomer to this list one does not expect unprovoked attacks for
apparently no reason ( "This man is proposing a load of.................."}
or irrational criticism of a prejudicial nature which included a complete
misunderstanding of my refusal to scan AN IMAGE because of degrading AN
IMAGE on the monitor screen and then on the paper. Not" scanning the PRINTS
will do them no more harm........etc.,) .and "Carbon is about the most
archival of the alternative processes." Well, I did not know that, Well I
never!!!!! You live and learn, don^t you.
I would like to point out that I DID NOT MENTION "FRESSON" anywhere in my
offer. I respect Michel Fresson^s right to keep the details of his process in
his own family and if there are " people on this list who know far more about
the Fresson process.........than me" then they do not need to know much. This
is not "fighting" as has been suggested but merely a simple answer.
and......if anyone wants to know about " articles to which people could
refer......please contact the Royal Photographic Society in Bath. They are
very helpful, as I would be, to anyone with a genuine interest. My speciality
is Direct Carbon Gelatine photo printing . NOT FRESSON' what is Fresson? It
has nothing to do with what I am offering.
See, you all..................later FTGRFST
