if I wanted to run you down I'd say at long last a good idea from you... ;-)
Well, no offense; indead I think Bath would be a perfect place and very
interesting. And with the tunnel we could even walk over. Would Bas then care
for the 1998 meeting in Holland? If not, I could offer another interesting
place: What if the 1998 meeting would be in Dresden? In that summer there will
be a big exhibition about Hermann Krone, one of the most important german photo
scientists and teachers of the 19th century. He had put together a didactic
collection of samples of photographic processes from 1939 to 1900 on more than
100 sheets of cardboard 70x100 cm (ca. 27x40") which currently is under
restortion and which will be displayed then. Also there will be a workshop
program, including collotype for instance, and a three-day symposion on photo
conservation, which could be a reason for somebody to come to Dresden. What do
you others from the old world think?
