I think we have had quite a lot of talk earlier about such products. There is
a great book:

0-924346-1-x or 0-9524346-1-x , Working Books, London 1995. Someone posted on
where this was available in the US last time this was discussed.
The book tells you all you'll ever need to know and more and also has
stimulating examples.
Also in book and in the archive you will find details of a widely available
emulsion made by Kentmere and available under various brand names (even in the
US) which anyone who has used it seems to think is greatly superior to the
Rockland product.
