Assuming you just need plunger/barrel, and not a needle fine enough for
punching holes in yourself, try looking around for lubrication syringes,
available last I checked from Rio Grande in Albequerque, and precision
metalworking tool shops. Also, if you check a Grau-Hall or Sargent-Welch
catalog (chem supply houses - ask your pet Chem Prof. to look through his
copies), they will have throwaway s they probably call "squeezable pipets" or
somesuch, ie., disposable eyedroppers that actually work (most of the time).
Failing that, you might ask the Quantitative Analysis chem prof. if they have
an "autopipette", which will dispense a (very) precise amount every time you
push the button on top of the "syringe". The teflon tips are about a nickel
apiece, and are disposable, but the widget w/ the button is $100-300..not
worth buying for the purpose, but using a spare?
Good luck,
Tox
