According to M. Nadeau (Encyclopedia), and Elliotype is made by painting
on glass with opaque and transparent colors and then using it as a
negative. This sounds to me like a version of cliche'- verre.
Can't help adding that Luis' encyclopedia has become an invaluable reference
work for me. It is especially useful when students dig up some obscure
print making process and want to see if you know what it is. ;-)
