Hello, everyone.

I'm getting ready to set up a darkroom after many years of being
without one. After reading the Alternative Photographic Process
FAQ (thanks, Gord) I'm quite excited about the possibilities of
the bromoil process. Aside from the FAQ and this list, I have
no other info. Until I can find some of the books mentioned, I
hope some of my questions can be answered here. (Can't get the
server to give me 1996 archives, but I've read the earlier ones.)

1. How does the 'transfer' technique differ from the regular
bromoil process described in the FAQ? Why would some
find transfer the preferable way?

2. How difficult is it to select different areas, forms in the
image and ink them with different colours?

3. Is it possible to apply the bleaching solution selectively,
and thereby end up with a part-silver, part-ink image?

4. The FAQ mentions needing to apply both 'hard' and 'soft'
inks for a full image buildup. Has anyone experimented
using just one type?

Thanks,

Dennis Carlyle
