Aging toners

Greetings-

Anyone out there able to help me out with a couple questions?

re: Nelson's Gold toner and silver prints....

As the toner is used, is it accumulating more and more silver nitrate? Is
that all it's accumulating as additional prints are toned? I assume that
the darkest areas of the print contribute more silver nitrate than the white
areas, correct?

an I "age" the toner by adding silver nitrate in chemical form?

and finally, what kind of gloves do you prefer to use when handling prints
in the chemicals...I find the ones I've tried quite clumsy to handle prints
with, so I end not wearing them.

Thanks in advance for the help!
