Patience is a virtue...

Folks,
Please be patient while the list is overhauled. All mail to
the old address is now being forwarded to the new list, however, you
should start using the new address:

alt-photo-process-l@usask.ca

Also take note of the new administrative address:

alt-photo-process-request@usask.ca

The old commands have changed. Unsubscribing:

unsubscribe alt-photo-process-l

and subscribing:

subscribe alt-photo-process-l

There is no digest mode, and nothing that may be readily done
to make one. There is a great deal of mail reading software out there,
and I know that some can do the sorting of mail for you
automatically. I suggest you investigate this option if you feel it
would be useful (don't ask me - I wade through it manually).

There are currently messages bouncing to the list, and I don't
know why. If you see your message bounced to the list (check the
address fields), then it made it to the list - don't repost.

If you are getting multiple messages from the list, like Henk,
then it is probably because I had to hack some kludges to allow you to
receive and post because of addressing problems (this is the problem I
had with Henk). Wait a couple of weeks for things to settle down, and
then approach Gord and ask (nicely) to see if he can fix it.

The list is pretty much obeying chaos theory at the moment, so
please be patient. The list is a beast to manage, and while I knew
what I was getting into and had my own share of teething problems, the
list only had six people then. Gord has to manage with over 550, so
please be a bit understanding.

Also, please read the administrative messages. They are
important, and some of us get sick of replying to questions we've
already answered.

Gord is now the list God, so please try and not incur his
wrath. Be patient while the teething problems are addressed.

cheers
-steve

p.s. You think a few bounced messages are bad? I just waded
through over 1100 (in one day). Imagine how Gord is getting on...
