Event alert: I am about to agree with Terry. (OK, it's Valentine's Day!) I
think what happens is that printmakers are called on to teach "non-silver"
photography courses. They don't know the most appropriate papers, do know
BFK. It works after a fashion, but, it never occurs to them, not the best
fashion. It's also widely available where lesser-known papers aren't. In
fact it may be recommended at the store, which knows even less about
cyanotype -- or whatever.
