judy,

to start with please let me confess to the crime of anal retentive. i am one
and plan to continue perfecting it. while paper and little notes find
their way into
my abyss - i back up my computer data monthly on a CD. i work on a MAC.

since i posted the note i tried excel per a suggestion. i plotted
the data using the same program but modified the points by using
the trendline function that smoothed the curve out. it closely matches
the original plots, however, in some areas it is a little off (=/- .04)
from the measured
density. i attribute this to the cornell densitometer. it does not work
properly
and feel that the excel curve is closer in accuracy.

i will be happy to attach the file and graph to anyone that might
be interested in using it. now that the "shell" is created each following
group of
numbers will be quickly plotted.
