Probably would be best to stick with the diet Coke. Sugar and photo
prints do not mix very well. One old method of retouching used a sugar/dye
solution to spot glossy prints. It worked very well, but ants were
attracted to it. Ansel Adams noted he had seen prints under glass where the
ants were making a meal of the retouch.

Has anyone tried beer?
