Yes that is correct. What I said is that "Collimated light is light
which is parralell or as if emitted from a point source at a distance."

And by the way, I do have formal training as a Physicist. I worked in
the research of photovoltaics for more than ten years. As an
experimental physicist, I understand semi-conductors, and yes, even
optics. But, a'las' I have not offered a formal disertation on the
subject, but rather an informal, casual commentary on some of my
personal experiances as a photographer. I retired from science to enjoy
art.
