You are so cynical.

In a private post, I noted the capabilities of the ALPS MD-2010 dry pigment
printer, as it can transfer flawlessly any image to any surface. In my
sunlight tests, the pigment inks did not change color after a week in our
bright Florida sun - direct exposure. Incidently, ALPS has a new "true
photo-quality" printer (more expensive, of course) which they say is as
good as dye-sub, but has the unfortunate requirement of needing special
ribbons which - you guessed it - are made of non-colorfast dyes.

My article on the printers is almost complete, and should be published in
the August or September issue of the PSA Journal.
