Hello Fellow Bromolists:

let me introduce myself. I'm a member of the Bromoil Circle of Great
Britain and I should like to up-date you with the latest news on the new
Kentmere paper.

Nine members of the Circle, including me, have produced work with the
trial batches and everyone has been enthusiastic about the results.

We have now reached the stage where we are gathering commitments to
purchase from fellow members of the Circle and from anyone else who
would like to buy. So far about one third of the proposed production
run has been spoken for.

The chances are that, if it is produced at all, it will only be with the
'Art' surface and not the smooth finish, unless, of course, someone
comes up with an order for a few thousand square metres.

The proposed sizes, packs and prices (in pounds Sterling and exclusive
of tax or duty) are as follows:

8 x 10 in (100) 43.83
A4 (210 x 297 cm) (100) 53.01
12 x 16 in (10) 10.53
12 x 16 in (50) 52.63
16 x 20 in (10) 17.53
16 x 20 in (50) 103.00

These are about the same prices as Art Classic in the UK.

The paper will be double-weight, that is 240gsm and the surface will be
like the back of Art Classic.

Anyone who would like to make a a firm commitment to buy should contact
by snail mail:

Mr Dave Francis, 9 Richmond Road, Wolverhampton, WV3 9HY, England. His
telephone number is +44 1902 773 281.
He wants no money at this stage, just a firm promise.

Even if a suitable retailer/distributor does not appear, we could still
generate enough interest for the the first 10k square metres to become a
reality.

Dennis Atherton.
