Jonathan: I think the exhibit completely consits of vintage prints.
Those among us with a strong interest in Franticek Drtikol (and a little pocket
money) might even consider buying his prints: The original vintage carbon prints
sometimes are offered for 10,000 and more dollars on the art market. I recently
saw a platinum edition (reprints) advertized by a N.Y. gallery. Sounded a bit
strange, as I think Drtikol never made platinum prints, certainly not for
editions...
Another Drtikol reprint edition is now published in the Czech Republik: 10
prints ca. 10x12", for which I printed three images in carbon, from the series
"Frauen im Licht" (women in light), from ca. 1927. The number of editions is
limited to 30. The price is not confirmed yet, but I think it shall be ca. 5800
USD. The edition is authorized by the Prague Museum for Applied Arts, which
holds the negatives and gets part of the profit. Another part goes to PHP
(Prague House of Photography) a non-profit gallery which supports czech fine art
photographers and the rest is used for production and marketing. Those
