The Bromoil Circle of Great Britain was founded in 1931 by the late Sam
Weller FRPS.
It currently has twenty members, all active bromoilists and four postal
portfolios are in circulation.
Members are of varying skill-levels and experience. The common factors
are an enthusiasm for the medium and a willingness to contribute, to
teach amd to learn.
Members of the Circle meet once a year for talks, demonstrations and a
face-to-face exchange of ideas.
The current members are:
   Gilbert Hooper FRPS
   Ken Hill FRPS
   Maija McDougal ARPS
   Dennis Atherton FRPS
   Graham Bee LRPS
   Rob Brimson
   Len Dorricott
   John Dyer
   Owen Foster ARPS
   Dave Francis
   Tony Graham
   Brian Iddon LRPS
   Helen James ARPS
   John Joyce
   Peter Potter LRPS
   Kenrick Roff ARPS
   Keith Spencer FRPS
   Kirk Toft LRPS
   Roy Trotman
   Don Whitley LRPS
and we have one honorary member - Gene Laughter, who was a guest at our
last meeting in Shrewsbury (but we don't send him any of the folios!).
As far as we know we are the only Circle in the UK and we do not know of
one in the States - maybe someone should start one - it's great fun.
Gilbert Hooper, Maija McDougal and Ken Hill will have an exhibition of
their bromoils in the Members' Gallery of the Royal Photographic Society
in Bath. It runs from 23 July to 19 August with a Workshop on 27 July.
