Joe, I have used a paper called Lanaquarelle and a very different one
called Lana. The former is a fairly tough watercolor paper, which used to
be made hotpress & coldpress, may still be. The Lana is one of the softest
papers, with very little wet strength. and although it can do some
beautiful things, it definitely needs a gelatine size for gum & is likely
to tear when wet.

I wonder if we're talking about the same or different papers?

Sorry for the confusion. I am referring to Lanaquarelle in both cases. I
thought Lana was simply an abbreviation for Lanaquarelle.
