The symposium in Bath, over the weekend, brought a solution to the
problem of 'Who is going to be responsible for ordering and distributing
the new Kentmere paper (if it is ever made)?', no nearer.
Members of the Bromoil Circle present were disappointed that they were
given no opportunity either to speak or to show examples of their work.
Dave Francis is still patiently collecting promises to buy and so is
Gene Laughter in USA. The two are in close contact.
Other people may have other plans but seem unwilling either to come
clean as to their intentions or to cooperate fully with the Bromoil
Circle.
Whatever the outcome I feel that I have done as much as I can and that
my further presence on this list is unnecessary.
I shall be glad to receive messages about bromoiling, but not about my
stuffy old Britishness, my language, my tone, my gender or my sense of
humour. But then bromoilists would never think of doing that, would
they?
I shall probably post news of the Bromoil Circle of Great Britain, when
there is any, and pictures when they're good enough (!), somewhere on
the 'net.
If you're interested please keep in touch.
Regards
Dennis Atherton
